Hey Rob,
Someone and I wont mention names (cough..AL..cough) got me thinking and so I took a look again at Syncronet last week after not looking at it for a couple years. I am excited to see the PETSCII support!!!!
So now I am setting up a new Synconet BBS! But my question has to do with the BANNERx.MSG file.
I have two of them, one is Banner1.msg (for the ansi users) and the other one
i made is Banner1.40col.msg for the CG 40column users. How ever both files are alternately displayed for the ANSI users. So I renamed the Banner1.40col.msg to Banner1.40col.seq. The BBS still throws Banner1.40col.seq in the display pool but now with the extension of .seq neither mode will show the file. So I changed the name back to Banner1.40col.msg.
How do I get the Banner1.40col.msg to not show for the ansi users?
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to lay out how I have it setup. ;)
answer.msg. You could use a separate answer.seq file or answer.40col.msg file which refers to a specific banner (don't use a wildcard) or just include whatever special text you want in that answer file. You don't *have* to use a nested banner file. --
