Title: Grandma Moses Sugar Cookies

Yield: 24 servings

3 c Flour
1 ts Soda
1 c Sugar
3 lg Eggs, well beaten
1 ts Vanilla
2 ts Cream of tartar
1 c Shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Cream shortening and
sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Add
to dry ingredients. Chill dough. Roll out dough on
floured surface to about 1/4" thickness, cut with
cookie cutters.

Bake on greased cookie sheet at 425°F/218°C about 5-6
minutes. Cool and decorate.
