      Title: Slow-Cooked Loaded Potato Soup
 Categories: Potatoes, Vegetables, Poultry, Pork, Cheese
      Yield: 12 servings
 
      5 lb Potatoes; peeled, diced
      1 md Onion; fine chopped
 72 1/2 oz (5 cans) chicken broth
      1 cl Garlic; minced
  1 1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
     16 oz Cream cheese; softened,
           - diced
      1 c  Half & Half cream
    1/4 c  Butter; diceded
MMMMM--------------------------TOPPINGS-------------------------------
      1 lb Bacon strips; cooked,
           - crumbled
    3/4 c  Sharp Cheddar cheese;
           - shredded
    1/4 c  Minced chives
 
  Place potatoes and onion in a 6 qt. slow cooker; add
  broth, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook, covered, on low
  8-10 hours or until potatoes are tender.
  
  Mash potatoes to desired consistency. Stir in cream
  cheese, cream and butter. Cook, covered, 15 minutes
  longer or until heated through.
  
  Just before serving, whisk soup to combine. Top servings
  with bacon, cheese and chives.
