MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Auntie Anne's Pretzels
 Categories: Breads
      Yield: 6 servings
 
  1 1/2 c  Warm water
  2 1/4 ts Active dry yeast
      2 tb Brown sugar
  1 1/8 ts Salt
      1 c  Bread flour
      3 c  All-purpose flour
      2 c  Warm water
      2 tb Baking soda
           Coarse salt
      4 tb Melted butter
 
  Sprinkle yeast on lukewarm water in mixing bowl; stir to
  dissolve. Add sugar, salt and stir to dissolve; add
  flour and knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Let
  rise at least 1/2 hour.
  
  While the dough is rising, prepare a baking soda water
  bath with 2 cups warm water and 2 tbsp baking soda. Be
  certain to stir often.
  
  After the dough has risen, pinch off bits of dough and
  roll into a long rope (about 1/2" or less thick) and
  shape. Dip pretzel in soda solution and place on a
  greased baking sheet. Allow pretzels to rise again. Bake
  in the oven @ 450oF/232oC for about 10 minutes or until
  golden. Brush with melted butter and enjoy!
