MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Southwest Burgers
 Categories: Beef, Cheese, Vegetables, Chilies, Breads
      Yield: 8 servings
 
      4 oz Can chopped green chiles
      4 ts Ground cumin
      1 ts Chilli spice mix
    3/4 ts Garlic powder
    3/4 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Pepper
      2 lb Ground chuck
    3/4 lb Pork sausage
      8 sl Monterey Jack cheese
      8    Hamburger buns; split,
           - toasted
      8    Lettuce leaves
      1 lg Tomato; sliced
      2    Ripe avocados; pitted,
           - peeled, sliced
           Mayonnaise or mustard; opt
 
  In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.
  Crumble beef and sausage over mixture; mix lightly but
  thoroughly. Shape into 8 patties.
  
  Grill, covered, over medium heat for 5 minutes on each
  side or until juices run clear. Top each burger with a
  cheese slice.
  
  Grill 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese begins to melt.
  Serve on buns, with the lettuce, tomato, avocado and
  mayonnaise or mustard if desired.
