      Title: Spiced Apple Chilli
 Categories: Beef, Fruits, Herbs, Beans, Chilies
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 lb Ground beef
      1 lg Onion; chopped
      6 oz Can tomato paste
      3 ts Chilli spice mix
      3 ts Smoked paprika
      2 ts Ground cumin
      1 ts Ground cinnamon
      2 cl Garlic; minced
      2 tb Cider vinegar
      3 c  Beef broth
      2 lg Granny Smith apples; peeled,
           - chopped
     15 oz Can chilli beans; undrained
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
 
  OPTIONAL TOPPINGS: shredded white cheddar cheese and
  diced red onion
  
  In a Dutch oven, cook and crumble beef with onion over
  medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink, 5-7
  minutes; drain.
  
  Add tomato paste, spices and garlic; cook and stir over
  medium heat 5 minutes. Stir in vinegar and broth until
  blended. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
  Simmer, covered, until apples are tender and flavors are
  blended, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve
  with toppings as desired.
