March 28 - National Something On A Stick Day

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

Title: The Corn Dogs

Yield: 9 Servings

2/3 c (160g) corn meal
1/3 c (60g) flour
1 ts Salt
1/2 c (120ml) milk
1 lg Egg; beaten
2 tb Oil
8 (to 10) hot dogs
8 (to 10) wooden skewers or
- Popsicle sticks

Preheat deep fat fryer to 375ºF/190ºC.

Combine corn meal, flour, and salt. Add milk, egg, and
oil; mix well.

Insert a wooden skewer into one end of each frankfurter.

Coat with flour, then coat with corn meal mixture.

Fry a few at a time in deep hot oil until golden brown.

Dab with mustard, like at a fair.
