Donald Trump has indicated that, as far as he is concerned, ships wishing to sail through the Strait of Hormuz under US protection should pay a toll of no less than 20% of the cargo value.

I think Trump would have liked to become a mafia boss, but ultimately, more or less by accident, became president of the US and now thinks he can make his evil dreams come true after all.

He stole the idea from Iran, which wanted to charge a toll of 1 to 2% of the cargo to ships wishing to sail through the Strait of Hormuz. The world indicated that this was unacceptable. Trump is now asking 10 times more and thinks he can count on the world's sympathy for that?

It is a good reason to drive the entire US out of the Middle East.
