  • 24 hrs. after install of ubuntumate on Pi 400

    So 24 hours later this is running as well as the Pi OS, only real difference are minor, 1: Kodi freezes
    on Mate ( Pi uses a special adapter and came from Pi apps ) and 2: Unlike Cinnamon where I can
    have extra drive applet in the panel bar, it looks like I can only have them on the DT in Mate.

    Is there a way to install PiApps to UM ?

    Last question, I added Timeshift, but I hit create before doing some settings and it placed the
    folder in the home folder, can I just move the folder to a SD or ext. drive ?

    Really happy so far with Mate on the Pi.

    Figured most out,#2 was a brain fart moment..... just like to know if I can just move the Time shift
    folder to a SD or external usb drive with out Mint crying foul.
