It has garnished quite a lot of accolades and has won awards
actually. This particular story, (book 1), leaves a lot to the
imagination. The author doesn't explain the tech behind their
operation - they are just part of the society and accepted as
normal to have around.
The book's unique approach is the story-telling from the pov of
the android/cyborg. But I think, that could also be it's
nemesis as far too much anthropomorphisation takes place.
Having read The Myth of Artificial Intelligence, there is
really NO WAY that such "bots" could ever think and act like
humans.
Gonna give the next one, "Artificial Condition : #2 Murderbot
Diaries HC" a shot.
