since a cyborg is an augmented human, shouldn't it be sentient anyways.
did they confuse cyborg with an android with ai?

Are they really just hp lovecraft or did someone take over writing part of them, or some other weird shit? I've notice stuff like that happens with lovecraft content. or they just use the name and say it's inspired by him.

The jacket summary of the book refers to the murderbot as an
android. In the story the murderbot clearly distinguishes
itself from augmented humans, but the difference is not (yet)
clear. Maybe book 2 will clarify the matter more.

The murderbot speaks of itself having "human parts". How that
works, is not clear. But the cyborg needs charging and rest.
It's kinda like an advanced version of the famous depressed
robot, Marvin in the Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy.

No these are all Lovecraft stories so far. Based on the content, I believe they all are.

I think the droids in this universe would just "build"
themselves. I think Musk even demo'd such a process as he
envisioned what the future workforce would look like.

It has garnished quite a lot of accolades and has won awards
actually. This particular story, (book 1), leaves a lot to the
imagination. The author doesn't explain the tech behind their
operation - they are just part of the society and accepted as
normal to have around.

The book's unique approach is the story-telling from the pov of
the android/cyborg. But I think, that could also be it's
nemesis as far too much anthropomorphisation takes place.

Having read The Myth of Artificial Intelligence, there is
really NO WAY that such "bots" could ever think and act like
humans.

Gonna give the next one, "Artificial Condition : #2 Murderbot
Diaries HC" a shot.
