Congrats! It's amazing what we can do nowadays. My mother also had this kind of surgery and she was also very pleased with how amazing the improvement was afterwards.

It must be strange to have to different levels of vision now.

It's amazing. While I was in surgery, I was under theinfluence of a
great anesthesia that allowed me to be awake but not care. <G> I was
awake enough to concentrate on my left eye, watching the tiny red paser
beam as the doctor cut out my old lens the notice how cold and slimy my
new lens was. I remember thinking "It feels like a cold fish...". LOL

It must be strange to have to different levels of vision now.

It is but on November 12, I'll be getting my right lens replaced so it
won't be too long of a wait.

I saw a doctor at the eye clinic today that said my eye was doing very
    well so far.

It's nice to see such bright, livid colors again! Not to mention being
able to focus correctly and see details.

to November 12 to get the right lens done.

My body is already mainly focusing using my left eye (it's my dominant
one). As soon as the right eye heals, I'm going to get a new pair of
glasses so I can drive my scooter without having to guess what is in
    front of me. LOL

It's amazing how better things can look when things get "fixed." While I don't require glasses to drive, I do for reading. After getting tri-focals a few years ago, I was amazed at how much clearer things were. Since it appears that the anti-glare treatment has been worn off, I tend to take them off when driving at night. I don't much, and mostly after our monthly radio club board and general meetings now that the sun sets eariler. It's time for new ones as the current lenses are getting scratched and is annoying.

Hopefully you'll handle glare better than I do... When they checked me, I misunderstood the instructions... Oops! My glare is just as bad as it was before the surgery.

    Good on you..

It must be great to see where you're going to end up..
I guess that comment can be taken in 2 ways.. B)

I think they offer several different lenses for that, one is like
single vision glasses and another that's like a progressive or
Trifocal sort of effect so you can see near and far..

There's often quite a price difference between the two, not that
it costs much more to make one than the other, but it's one of
those upgrades that is a rip-off for the consumer, or the insurance
company as the case may be.
