When I asked what "didn't qualify" meant, all he could tell me
was that first there wasn't any "assignment" for my address -
which was later corrected - but something else is behind the

various tech's (as like you my address was wrong - in my case missing apartment number) they told me my FLOOR wasn't supported.

I had cable internet on for 8 years. The same floor my neighbour across the hall from me has ignite on.
Switched to Bhell fibe.... it works. $30 more a month. Even though I pay for a fast connection downloads are much slower then they were on Fido.

This sounds like Being John Malkovich...

THAT is totally weird! Maybe there was a physical routing
issue? They are not supposed to cross or passthru an existing
property whether it is another apartment or another building.
I think I will just switch to mobile. I don't need streaming,
and I can get up to 35Mbps for less than what fibre would cost
me if I subscribe to luckymobile.ca. No wires, and I can feed
my network with a ZTE or Netgear, both 4G-capable routers.
...But I /had/ cable internet for 8 years in this
apartment. Just with their "Fido" reseller not with the
big name of Rogers.

If you don't do a whole lot that's probably the way to go
for you. I use mobile when we're in the woods and while I
don't stream (much) I also don't really watch my bandwith
and I've never even come close to the monthly limit.

Then it was some undisclosed politics/competition/avoidance
going on?
What is your monthly limit there? Do you get a hard cut-off
when you reach the cap?
My limit is 8GB a month but I also have "bonus data" of 12GB total
that will automatically kick in if I ever use the 8GB. As for what happens with the cap I have no idea. My wife is with Koodoo and I
know when she hits the cap she has no more data.
