I can't figure out how to get support or post to community forums... I need my VMs to start up on startup. This was working with VMWare Workstation Player. With pro, however, I'm given a menu. This
doesn't work for unattended or unintended startups. Any help? This
is unacceptable and I may have to go back to Workstation Player...
There must be a way for this to be automated, I just don't see it.

Found the VM Autostart option. Just had to modify a file permission to get it to work!

you arent saying what os you are running on, dude.
I always had my vms running during startup. for windows vmware i used
an -x switch i believe. look into the command line switches
for your software that runs on whatever os you use.
