Combine that with rclone and a remote defined as "crypt", you can keep a copy of the directory in the cloud where you could access the contents from any other device that has rclone.
Actually, the intended way of achieving that is using passwor-store's
git integration. You are supposed to create a git repository to which
you upload (with pass git push) and from which you download your
updates (with pass git pull)
