A thoroughly miserable day across Connemara with persistent rain and very low cloud. Dense overcast will dominate throughout with rain becoming established during the morning and continuing through much of the day, heaviest mid-morning to early afternoon. Patchy light fog in places, especially over higher ground and western coastal areas. Temperatures struggling to reach 12-14?C in the persistent rain and gloom. Breezy to windy conditions with south to south-southwest winds 20-30 kph, gusting 35-45 kph at times, strongest along western coastal areas.

By evening, rain will begin to ease from the west with some drier interludes developing, though remaining mostly cloudy. Winds gradually veering west-southwest overnight. A raw, unpleasant day overall with little respite from the rain and low cloud. Visibility poor at times in rain and fog patches. Not a day for outdoor activities.
