I've got a couple of things going on.

One is Crossbow, my cron-friendly rss feed reader. gbmor, you
already heard of this, since we spoke on IRC. For those who
don't, it sums up to a feed reader that let's cron do the job
of periodicity, and allows to handle the feeds by using common
UNIX patterns (such as stdout listing captured by local email,
and handling via pipes and subprocess).

The second thing I'm working on is some enforcement system
that would allow me to run pesky software components (such
as a web browser) into a working environment where it cannot
    escape a VPN.

I can go in more detail if someone is interested.

    [OT]:
Btw, thanks for this newsgroup, to whoever created it. I suggested
it on tilde.meta earlier today: I don't know if it was created
after my request. Even if I hang out in Usenet since a while,
it's not exactly clear to me how to add newsgroups: I think it should
be allowed by someone, but this is a distributed system: how does it
    work exactly?

    Bye :)

I just finished reinstalling Debian on my laptop and getting everything
set back up. No current software projects. Hopefully soon.

I love this old radio. I've dismantled it to get at the 2.5 inch
speaker. It sounds bad because the rubber around the cone has split.
I need to repair it I guess. It's a Tivoli Pal, I got it in 2003.
After I took the picture I connected the parts and it's playing now
on my desk, without its case, quite nerdy, looks like a raspberry pi. https://tilde.club/~iolfree/49916809276_8025ced141_o.jpg

I am a new user settling into .club and experimenting with the Autocrypt specification for PGP usage. TOFU, rather than teaching people about the
web of trust, seems like the best way to evangelize PGP in 2020, where
it's a model people are already familiar with from other messaging
software. Have a look at the spec and supported implementations in https://autocrypt.org/.

Feel free to mail me if you want to try it. I have PGP the autocrypt way working in K-9 on Android and am trying to get it going in Emacs/Gnus too.

Nah, the Pi's the transmitter! https://hackaday.com/2015/11/04/rpitx-turns-rasberry-pi-into-versatile-radio-transmitter/
