    Hi everyone,

I went to my local Dollar General--it's a half-mile (0.8 km) from my place
and it's the only grocery store I can get to with my scooter. One road near
me is missing a half-mile of sidewalk and I could, I'd be able to get to a
new ALDI and a Food Lion.

I checked the price of eggs...USD$4.59.

    I didn't take any home.

Can you use the street? We have electric scooters commonly on the streets here. They have to fly a flag on a 6 foot flexible mast so cars can spot
them easier. And they mostly (the ones I've seen) stick to the bicycle lanes.

Just looked at my Hy-Vee ad "That's Smart! Large Shell Eggs - U$2.99/doz"
and premium "Hy-Vee Free Range Large Brown Egg Grade A - U$3.99/doz"

ALDI id offering "Grade A Large White Eggs - U$1.89/doz"

    Title: Chipotle Deviled Eggs
    Categories: Dairy, Snacks, Appetisers, Chilies
    Yield: 12 Servings

    12 Jumbo eggs; hard boiled
    1 sm Onion; fine minced
    1 tb Colman's Mustard Powder
    1 tb Olive Oil
    1 tb Dill pickle juice
    Mayonnaise
    2 Chipotles in adobo; minced
    Ground Cayenne; garnish
    Sliced green or black olives
    - optional garnish

Peel the hard boiled eggs and split in half carefully
putting the yolks in a mixing bowl. Mash yolks with a
fork and stir in onion, pickle juice, olive oil,
chipotle and mustard powder. Add enough mayo to make
    a smooth, stiff paste.

Scoop or pipe the paste back into the egg halves.
Sprinkle with cayenne for a nice color contrast.

Plop a slice of olive into the centre of the yellow
egg stuff to make it look like an eyeball (bloodshot
if using cayenne for colour). - UDD

If I did the math right, $8.26 for 12 eggs in CAD.
That's even more expensive then here. Why?

    Prices here:
    12 factory eggs = $3.80
    12 free range facorty eggs = $7.20
12 free range eggs from the farm = $6

ALl above are "large" eggs. When we're here in
the woods we are "next door" to a egg farm so we
get them from her and they are so good. She looks
at her watch when you ask when they were collected not
    a calendar. ;)

Sounds like here. I like to walk around one of the local shopping centers,
but the public streets have sidewalks that appear and disappear in that
area with no real rhyme or reason. At a couple of points, they stop on one side of the street (where the shops are) and start on the other, where
there is nothing (and, because of the interstate ramp on the other side of
the fence, there never will be anything).

I checked the price of eggs...USD$4.59.

For reference is that a dozen or half-dozen? I got into buying eggs more
for a while, but stopped after the price doubled.
