Andrea and my daughter had no issues what so ever. My son in law and I both suffered badly from the second shot. (Him more then me)

My PCP at the VA is a real prick about the COVID shot. I explained to him
that I've already had COVID and have antibodies ... and that idiot started
to berate me saying that because I don't have a medical degree, I don't know anything.

So far, I have refused the shot. They have yet to show me a test that can actually prove that the Delta variant even -exists-. They want to throw science in my face? I can throw it right back.

    <rant>
(Side note: I am most definitely not anti-vaccine. What I am against is
being used as a guinea pig for an experimental gene therapy for something
that they can't fully prove exists (using the "delta variant" as a reason to get the shot) and then big pharma is saying that the "vaccine" doesn't even work against the "delta variant"). I mean, the CDC had to change its
definiton of the word "vaccine" to justify the crap it's putting out ... anyhow, actual vaccines that have had many years of testing and research
behind them are lifesavers. This, IMNSHO, is not and too many people have suffered or died from an industry that, in the US, can do whatever the hell
it wants and not suffer any consequences.)
    </rant>

I just came back from the VA emergency room with a diagnosis for a new
disorder I have (petechiae[1]). I tried telling him that it wasn't athlete's foot and instead put me on terbinafine which is notorious for killing livers and the people attached to them. So I quit taking that medicine today and I
am going to see podiatry (with whom I have a good rapport) then going to
switch doctors. Idiot got all high and mighty with me when I was right. Really upsetting.

If he can't diagnose a rash correctly then I need to find someone else who's more competent.

1 = "Petechiae are tiny purple, red, or brown spots on the skin. They
usually appear on your arms, legs, stomach, and buttocks. You might also
find them inside your mouth or on your eyelids. These pinpoint spots can be
a sign of many different conditions -- some minor, others serious. They can also appear as a reaction to certain medications. Though petechiae look
like a rash, they're actually caused by bleeding under the skin. One way to tell the difference is by pressing on the spots. Petechiae won't turn white when you press on them. A rash will turn pale." https://tinyurl.com/yak5zywy

That was a terrible attitude from the PCP. If anything, they
should be assuring you of the jap's safety/effectiveness, and
informing you of the possible side-effects, etc. ...not make

Oh.. Delt probably exists alright, but doctors know that
although it is said that Delta is more contagious, it is far
    less deadly this time around.

That's NOT a way to convince someone they should do something... My doc
will tell me "general opinion is this" or "I tend to think that" but
then let's me make the decision and doesn't berate me.

Same here, but not specifically because of 'Delta.' I am also NOT anti-vaccine. I think this was made a POLITICAL issue from the start
and that's why it's yet another thing that divides us as a nation...

Personally, I didn't get it, don't plan to, but don't care or mind if
YOU or anyone else does. I think it's a logical choice that someone
    has to make for themselves.

I might tend to agree more with 'for the safety of all' if that weren't
being used to try and get more and more gun control. It's too easy
to see it as 'the same argument, so this must be "control" as well.'

WOW! Just read the whole thing - I'll be sharing that with some
folks that ask me about it...

Of course it had the same info that I've read elsewhere, that
the 'vaccine' is not actually that - it doesn't prevent you
from contracting it or spreading it. <sigh>

I will be requesting to be moved to another doctor this week.

Blood test! Apparently the condition could be a sign of an
    underlying condition.

I told the ER doctor my own hypothesis about what's happening ... and she agreed. So I am on blood thinners (petechiae's #1 cause) combined with high blood pressure and wearing socks and shoes for 14-16 hours a day (have I ever showed you all in Micronet my boots?) that cause pressure on my feet equals petechiae. I am seeing my podiatrist this Friday afternoon to discuss this with him. He's a great doctor: he listens attentively, involves me in the decision-making (to a point), and gets things done.

I am going to go to the patient advocate at the VA (think: ombudsman with a rather impressive level of power to get things done) and file a complaint with my PCP about his misdiagnoses and request to move to another doctor. I am not afraid anymore to make waves. I -will- be treated nicely.

If not, I'll call my Senator who helps oversee the VA in Congress.

(No, I did not pick the tagline. <G>)

The VA often gets bottom-of-the-barrel doctors because no one else will hire them. It's a real crapshoot to get a good doctor that stays more than a year.

Personally, I didn't get it, don't plan to, but don't care or mind if

I agree with you. If you want the shot, get it. But leave the rest of us alone.

All of the current administration's actions have consequences and I have a feeling you'll see it come the midterm elections next year.

That is a good doc. Provide data, and I like it from both sides, and ultimately it is up to the person.

Providing the information for them to make the best decision in their particular situation - since we all know that everyone has different situations. That is called non-logical liberal shame tactics. I have been hearing the same crap for years concerning the flu shot. If someone gets the flu shot, they should be good right? If not, why get it?

The entire thing is just crap spread by people that like to try and run other people's lives. Probably is an inadequacy coping mechinism.
